Bury Me song written by Me

  • I wrote this after my uncle went out in the woods one winter and allowed himself to freeze to death after his girfriend died of overdose. I pictured him like a lone wolf. He really did love her. . . .It's not very good because it was one of my first songs . . .

    It's been three seasons

    Sinse you said goodbye

A cold wind ruffles my fur

As I walk through the snowdrifts

    That numb my paws

And steal all the warmth I can conjure

    You meant everything to me

    You were my warm breeze

And I had been caught in your allure

    (chorus)

Bury me in your white snow, Earth

Let this ice freeze me still

    Because there is no sunshine

    No end over the hill

    If they can't be mine

The snow sticks to my paws

And I know my heart will not thaw

I can hardly remember you now

    I can't recall your voice

Or the kindness in your touch

The name is all my mind will allow

But it's enough to push me on

Into the depths of this storm

    There's no reason in me

    Anymore

    (Chorus)

Bury me in your white snow, Earth

Let this ice freeze me still

    Because there is no sunshine

    No end over the hill

    If they can't be mine

I can see a bright light ahead of me

An end to my daze (days)

At last I can breath again

As I'm lifted from heartbreak's haze
