Straight vs. Gay

  • Actually more of a writing question.

One of the novels I'm working on, A Conflict of Interests, follows a young male wolf as he goes through a turbulent time with his girlfriend. When another girl enters the scene, the wolf must make a choice between his long-time girlfriend to whom he could never express his feelings for or the new girl who makes expressing them so easily.

I'm thinking of changing this second, "new girl" into a guy.

Do you think this would change anything? Would you be more interested if it contained a gay relationship in comparison to a straight relationship? Would the story be more interesting? Would this still apply if it was known there was no sex between any characters? What are your opinions on this?

cuddles tolf To be honest i think you should switch it to a guy, just because switching to a girl in the story has happened before, and it would be a twist, and a real attention grabber. So my opinion goes toward the guy
