What do YOU like about the furry fandom and why are you a furry???

I couldn't really choose one favorite thing, but I definitely enjoy most of the community. Also the artwork, it was first finding furry art on the internet that made me realize I was a furry. The clean artwork by the way XD. It's also fun to create a fursona and build them around yourself, or who you want to be.

The artwork was a big thing for me [yes, like David Jay said - clean]. I also liked the furry form of cosplay, but it's not always based on TV characters or anything, a lot of the time its unique to the person so I like that more than cosplay actually. Also, the acceptance. Something the furry fandom seems to usually have [or at least here on FN] is an accepting mindset. I love that quality in anybody :3

well its mostly the art that keeps me here, i used to be dangeriously furry, but after moving out and in with furs over here, things got a bit...testy. so i just stick around for the art and to chat

What does 'dangerously furry' mean?!

I think its the art that I love too, though I also feel the spiritual side of it too, though only a bit! I think its intresting that loads of the worlds ancient cultures have anthro gods and totems and the like.

Sadly for me I started on the dark side of furry but I did move why way over to the art and mindset in general. But its been fun is all I can describe.

I'm really beginning to question why I am a furry. There's just a lot of bullshit in the fandom that I don't want to deal with. But there's just something about wearing a tail or putting on a fursuit that makes me happy. So, gotta take the good with the bad I guess. Oh well.

Yeah, wearing a tail just feels right to me :3 I dunno how a suit will feel, but I know I like the idea of paws and ears as well so I dunno...maybe I'll really enjoy it.

Spiritually, I'm connected to Tiger in a way only him and I can really understand, though everyone understands as close as they can what I mean. It's been that way since I was about 4 or 5, 6 at eldest. And ever since I went to pre-school and learned about Egyptian gods like Anubis, I have LOVED that kind of stuff... It's nice to see something kinda make more sense than a human with a humanoid deity that apparently created everything.

Yiff...I dunno how I feel about yiff. I say it's your sexuality, do as you please and nobody should get in the way but don't let it become the focus of fandom or anything. It's shit like that that gives furries the bad reputation of "All a furry is is somebody who wants to have sex with animals" and the like.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the definition of furry is "A lover of Anthromophic Art" so I think we can ALL agree that the art is fantastic.

Ha, yeah just speakin' on behalf of us all :3

so furry, that people around me start turning to the fur-side!
lol seriously tho, enough that I'll wear a tail around (or my fursuit when it arrives) I will openly advertize it, but not to where I'm rubbing it in peoples faces.

Meh I'm barely furry. Though a lot of my friends (and I mean IRL friends) are furries, you would never be able to tell we're furries.

I pretty much only stick around cause it's a fun enviroment often times.
I barely even call myself a furry, but alas, here I am xD

I couldn't say for sure. I love everything about the fandom. I guess the thing i like the most would be the freedom to express yourself with little to no confrontation.

In all honesty, I don't think I'm really too much a furry. I'm only here for the art and the community. That's it. Art and a community for the roleplaying and art. Talking to people, hell, I can do that anywhere.

There is one other thing, though. You can say pretty much anything and people won't get weirded out. I guess it's because we're all so fucked up that it really doesn't faze us anymore. Lol.

How furry am I LEO Owens? I'm so furry it spreads just ask some of my friends. if you touch me you itch for about a week then grow fur ears and a tail. I grow more furry every day. Each furry I talk to changes my life and view toward furries and myself as one. I am not ashamed to admit I am obsessed IN A FURRY way. B4 I knew about furries I was a furry and now that I know there are others It will begin to show inside and out.

I'm not really sure how furry I am because I didn't even really know what a "furry" was until recently. I guess I've been living in a shell because I'm 21 years old. But all I know is I have always loved animals, and wolves specifically. I always wanted to dress up as a wolf for halloween and have various wolf masks and ears and paws that I love to wear. I got to hold a wolf cub a few years ago at a preservation park and I literally started bawling because it felt "right" to be with the wolves. Idk, I've always wanted to live with wolves and be a wolf, so I guess thats where my furriness comes from. I do love the artwork too, but its just the wolf and my spirit that brings me to the community. Also, I know its to each his own, but I am not into yiff and do not "love" wolves in that way. I just think that they are beautiful creatures and deserve our respect.

I love the community. For the most part, we're a very welcoming and accepting bunch. But there's always naysayers and trolls wherever you go...

I got into the fandom when my ex proved to me that they aren't like my psychotic older brother, who is a psychopath in his own right and just happens to be a hardcore therian.

I don't consider myself "furry" at all, simply because I tend not to identify with things despite meeting their definitions. I just never feel like the label matters, and what is is.

I enjoy the art, the roleplay, and fursonas to the extent of enjoying any other sort of avatar. I appreciate it all, but I don't believe myself to be (or supposed to have been) anything but a little human in the vast nothingness of existence.
