We cannot leave the Captain's body here in the middle of nowhere. I propose we take it and hi head back with us to the ship, so we can give him a proper burial....not have it be as food for any more of these accursed worms!

[Near the Ship] *Sees lights beginning to flicker as I see the away crew gather on deck for my inherent arrival.* *Mutters:* The crew must know... the crew must know... the crew must know... *Climbs off the beetle and treks through the sands briefly to the deck where I climb over the side. Sees that everyone has gathered.* ((Assuming, as some people can't post until the weekends.)) It's... It's the... It's the Captain... The Captain is... is down... *Goes a bit hysterical at this point.* The CAPTAIN is down! The CAPTAIN is DOWN! The... the... th...th.. th... th... *Mutters:* Once crew, one team, one captain, all follow, no captain, none follow, all die, none live... need a captain... *Passes out over the edge of the deck, and flips in the air twice and lands heavily in the sands below.*

Agreed, that would not be wholesome.
Speaking of the worms... *Roars with all my might, the sound wave reverbrating heavily in my chest. A worm pops up, while the rest, at last begin to move away. FWACK! CRACK! The Worm's mutilated upper corpse falls to the sand, dripping out a bit of fluid.*
*Undos my shield from my arm, places it on the sands, and drags the small body of the Cap'n onto the large towershield. Walks over to the severed head of one of the worms, searches inside momentarily, and pulls out the head of our bereaved Cap'n and cradles it in my arms, having put away the warhammer. I pull out a small cloth from my bag and wrap it up and place it on the shield.*
*Lifts the sheild and places it on one of the beetle's backs.*
Murphy, you're going to need to keep it still. Think you can manage?

I know this is a tragic course of events, but seeing as how there is no established order of command, for now, and only until we have established a better course of action, I will take charge in captain's affairs. When the rest of the crew gets back, we will have an organized discussion on the matter. Till then, everyone prepare for takeoff.

(yeah. i know [roughly] what steampunk is, but i have a slow internet connection today, so i'm not going to try to read all 30-something pages. it'd take all day. plus, i like to go into an rp knowing as much about the other people in it as my character does. but, it's ok.)

Ugh, Aden, I'm gonna go check on engineering. *Rubs my head and holds my hand there, in pain as I take the lift down.*
*Sees that the molds and metals are ready that were prepared to fix Jake's armor. Shovels some coal into the Furnace to get it going initially, then goes back over to my makeshift smithing area. Begins heating and pounding the lumps out of the heavy armor.*
