the way we understand it is this, kyoki heals his body by replicating the cells in his body so that they cover the areas and substitur=te for the organs, hovever these cells are all very weak as their strenghe is cut in half each time they replicate, the problem is that the stigmata is supposed to repair his body for him, but for some odd reason kyoki chose to handle the healing process himself, even whenever he would die, it was alchemy which would jump start his body after his brain had been restored. once his brain would become acctive he would shut off the mana from the stigmata and heal the rest of his body, its suicide really and aparently this time he wasnt able to hold it back. so now all the power that he has ever sealed from that stigmata is spreading throughout his body an completely destroying an d rewriting his body.
