(koty harrington, bright 17 year old who has a decent grasp of anthropology but excels at creative writing & mythology, is bipolar, & has many, many issues. basically, me 2 years ago. except in real life, i'm not my fursona.) "excuse me? ma'am? what does exploring some creepy-ass building have to do with anthropology?" (i can already tell, this is going to be a bit like Rose Red. god, Stephen King is awesome.)

That aside there said to be very rare documents on nordic tribes and clans hidden within these walls" *she pulls on her wool blazer*

"Just look around you at this magnificent sight." Emily smiled she hadn't been in a castle in a long time. Not since she had stayed with a Count in Eastern Europe, what a Dark raven he was. "Now we will be staying here for a few days so I will show you to your rooms. It is two to a room folks i'm sure you can work out sharing."

The inside of the castle does not mirror the pristene look of the outside. The inside is damp and dusty, with large cobwebds cluttering walls and floors. Old decaying furniture dots the halls and several stacks of books and papers clutters up the free spaces. Several rats scutter away into the dark as the light from the door shines inside the castle.

"the last owner was here a few decades ago but it dates back a long way, it hasn't been lived in for some time. and who knows what kind of secrets could be lurking within this castle" Dr Strangesmith attempts to put on a slight spooky voice but with her already having low sensual husk to her accent it just sounds bit silly. She coughs and regains her composure.

(Lovecraft is probably the only author, besides Edgar Allan Poe of course, that i like better than Stephen King.) "mmm hmm." i look around. i then silently add, "still seems as though it's more an architectural trip than anthropological. it is good to get out, though..." i zone out. (my character, as well as i, dropped out of high school at 16 & scored 200 points higher on the GED test than the average high school student. therefore, koty is a college student just like everyone else here. you know. just for future reference.)

*Emily slowly gets into her Nightgown and lets her hair down combing it in the mirror. She looks around at the ornate master bedroom and notices that parts of the ornate carvings covering the walls and bed portray horrific scenes. she begins to worry. she searches around the room and in the cupboard finds a neatly pressed circa 1811 russian officer uniform. She is taken aback as she moves it aside dust cascading from it on the wardrobe shelf were some dusty black leather tomes and the matching cap of the uniform. Dusting off the cap she places it on her head and pulls out the tomes. Taking them over the bed and beginning to pour over the imagery.*

*over time the tomes horrify images dull and Emily is no longer kept awake by them she takes off the cap throwing it down on the bed and tries to focus eventually drifting into sleep sprawled over an image in one of the tomes of two furs locked in a carnal embrace laying on some sort of sigil tentacles surrounding them*
