Well, besides a shadow, which might not have even been there, and you two, I haven't seen anything. *I start to wrap the gauze around my arm, becoming very calm* Well, I think I need to find a new top. *I gesture to the fact that my top now ends just below the bustline*

i pick up a shard of glass & wrap electrical tape around the broad end. i then test its sharpness by tapping the tip with my finger. it bleeds. "here. this is better than that toothpick you're carrying around."

Ummm...OK... *I start to wonder if maybe this fur is even more insane than I. I walk towards the front doors of the hospital and head outside. I realize how much warmer it was inside only once I'm out. I start to shiver right away and look for some store that might sell clothes. I find a promising looking storefront and head inside. I can hear rustling in the back, and it sounds like some adjusting clothes* Hey! *I shout to the back of the store, my voice echoing throughout* Anyone here?

after kirsten leaves, i go to the roof & just stare. at the sky. at the clouds. at the horizon 'you warned them. you did all you could do. at any rate, we're all fucked so it doesn't matter too much who goes first.' i laugh, because after all i've been through, it's all i can do.

*I grab a few items that look warm, comfortable, and functional, then head towards the noise I can hear* Hey! I want to pay for these. *I pull out a few dollar bills as I look behind the racks. i can see something moving back there, and, while humanoid, It doesn't move like one. Just as it turns towards me, I remember what that fur had said, and I turn around and head out the store, screaming at the top of my lungs*

i hear a scream. part of me wants to turn away & let it happen. death would be the merciful way out. i run towards the source of the scream & almost collide with kirsten. "what did it look like? an armless person with a hole in it's chest?"

"bloody hell." i pull out my pipe & sure enough, it's a straitjacket. i hide by a corner & just as it comes around i smash the pipe into its head. i shove the pipe through the hole in it's chest & kick it to the ground. i sling kirsten over my shoulder & run back a bit. i sit her up against a wall & go back to get my pipe which is still funneling black acid into the air. i wait a second, then pick it up, slinging the straitjacket off of it.i then pick up kirsten's spear & go back to her. i pick her up & go back to the café.

*I scramble up and dash away, from the mad fur, from this mad town, from myself. I head towards the way I got in town, passing the sign only to see that I just entered town* I couldn't have, I wouldn't, it's...Not...How did I... *I faint next to the sign*
