  Flicks ears, and looks over at him. "Oh these? They're just little flesh wounds from the past." She says, unconsciously reaching a paw up to the most recent one.

  ((After my first post in third person, I agree...))
  "I would agree..." He sat up and turned his head to show the right side of his face. Half of his muzzle is missing fur, with a quarter of it missing skin. "I made a rather grand mistake, and now it is very uncomfortable to eat in public." He sighs, laying back down.

  "Ouch. That must've hurt." She says, chuckling slightly, but in a nervous way. A yawn threatens to force her jaws open, but she stifles it quickly.

  He tilts his head at the odd face she makes, and chuckles slightly. "Well, it was more of a learning experience. You can never truly learn from a mistake without getting hurt."

  "That's true." She agrees, nodding a couple times. Looking down at her watch, she gets to her feet. "Well, it was nice meeting you. It's about time for me to meet my next client." She smiled, having an uneasy feeling about who she was to meet next.

  "If you weren't a burden to me? M'lady, we have just met. I am unsure if I could pass such judgement so quickly." He stands up and dusts his coat off, his face slightly cheery. "If there's anything I may be able to do to protect a soul from possible danger, I call that a blessing, not a burden."

  A slight smile formed across her features, and she nodded. "Just make sure that you can keep up." She says, a slight joking smirk playing at her lips. Pulling the mask back up, she looks at the sky yet again, her white irises looking near silver.

  "Are you inferring that I am lame? I beg to differ, madam." He takes off his rather thick coat and vest, leaving himself only with his pantaloons which are tucked into his bell cuff boots, and a casual shirt. He rolls up his sleeves and walks towards her, ready to follow.

  "I wasn't meaning that at all." She grins. Tying her hair back, a few strands fall over her face, but she moves them aside. Without a word of warning, she takes off in the direction she'd come, a grin across her muzzle. Now she was testing him.

  His ears prick up once more, a smile across his jagged face. He sprints after her with a fair amount of speed, probably from the opening in his muzzle that allows air to rush in while he exhales from his nose. He thinks of this more of a game.
  "I'll catch you madam!" He pants slighty, "You watch yourself, now!"

  Chuckling a little, she was barely out of breath and still moving. This was the direction that the client was in, and she was still uncertain about it, even if she did have some help. Exhaling from her nose, she shoves the thought from her head and stops at the village gate.

  He arrives at the village gate about ten seconds after she had stopped. He drops to his knee, panting but smiling. "You are a quick one, m'lady. You had the upper hand, what with those ankle shoes you've got there." He stands up and leans against the gate's wall.

  Grinning, she opens the secret passageway she'd made in the gate. "But of course. If you like, I can grab you a set as well." She says with a raised eyebrow, holding the door open for him. "Next time, we'll race and see who's faster then. Without anything to help either of us gain speed." She smiled, completely serious.

  Making a slightly embarrassed sound, she keeps her gaze cast to the ground. "That wasn't what I meant!" She says, letting the door close behind them and walking down the alleyway and into the street.

  "I'm serious!" She says, turning slightly red. Grumbling a little under her breath, she flicks her spaded tail and continues on down the street.
