She continues on, not even caring where she is placing her paws, which are sinking deeper with each step in the fresh snow. She stops and looks up, her eyes dull except for a tear at the rim. She scowls at herself and wipes it away, walking onward.

Searith continues on his journey of self, unmindful of just how far he has come and gone, how long the blizzard has raged on around him. After a while, though, he notices someone ahead of him and his companion, trudging through the blizzard of their own volition. Curious, but unconcerned, he continues on at his own pace. "If we come across them, we will. If we never catch up, then nothing lost, nothing gained." With a nod to Artemis, Searith walks on, unhindered.

i put everything away & sing to myself again, trying to relax. but something doesn't seem right.

Kouya walks a little slower, mainly from the still thickening snow beneath her paws, but partly because her mind was elsewhere. She sighs and closes her eyes, thinking she was safe in this storm.

Artemis and Searith slowly approach the steadily slowing figure, seeing her struggle and regret. With a slight smirk and a short sigh, he reaches out, and slowly guides her back the direction she appears to have come. After a short while, he departs her somewhat familiar company, and moves off on his own again, wandering with his orb companion, still talking, and responding, to silence.

Kouya jumps and hisses at the touch on her shoulder, but before she can see who it was, the figure is vanishing, talking to a bright orb. She licks her paw to calm herself, then finds her way back to the cave. She nods to Mal and then sits at the mouth of the cave.

Searith sighs, and waves as his friend slowly drifts away. The time for him to do his job was coming, he headed back to the sky, where he resides each night. . "Good-bye, Artemis. Hopefully we'll get to talk again soon." With a sigh, and a wave, darkness came once more, as Obvlivion beckoned.

Kouya finally sighs and transforms to her feral form, which is more comfortable for sleeping. She pads a little farther into the cave and lays against a rock, curling her fluffy tail around her body. (goodnight all. I'm off)

(I'm back, but will not start till everyone else is here. And yes)
Kouya stretches her sore muscles and gives her chest a few licks to wake herself up. She stays in feral form as she comes out from behind the rock to find the storm is over and the sun low in the sky, creating a blinding sheen on the ice. Kouya sits at the mouth of the cave, her tail wrapped neatly around her paws.

(eh, I'll go ahead and post a little myself)

Deep in his mind, something calm awakened, finally. He didn't know how he knew, but he did: the storm is over. His dreams stirred, and faded away, as he slowly drifted back to reality. He didn't open his eyes, however. His gut instinct told him he wasn't alone, that he was never alone since the storm began. Deciding against revealing himself, he followed the path already set forth in his mind: Breath deep, stay relaxed, show no signs of awareness. They'll leave eventually.

(I'll just be active for a short while, but don't stop when I'm leaving. I love seing many updates. It reminds me of the old times in the good old Maelific thread.) *pops out from shell and yawns* That was a nice nap. *looks around and notices that Kouya is missing* Where's Kouya?

Searith internally flinches at the sounds of others speaking. The foreign vibrations that only has come from his own maw, until now, shock and confuse him. And yet all the while, he shows no outward signs of wakefulness. He simply listens, trying to understand.

"Sure, why not?" She looks at the frozen, hardened carcass and scowls. "That thing looks like it's unedible anyway, even if I cook it." She transforms back into anthro and grabs her dagger. She glances behind Toru to see the stranger is still there, sleeping. She turns away. "Let's go."
