Wolfsong slows down as she approaches the ranch, and the end of her territory. "Well, I would bring you the rest of the way, but the cats there are afraid of clan cats and may not like you if you're with me."

"Well, I have to go. I'm sure Jaytail is looking for me. See you around!" Wolfsong runs back to her camp and is able to sneak into her den before anyone notices she was gone. She grooms herself clean and goes to sleep.
Toru wakes up and pops out of his shell. "I guess I've been a little hard on those cats." Toru thought to himself. "I'll see if there's anyone up there and maybe have a chat." Toru swam up to the surface and scanned the land around him. He could not see any cats at all. "I'll just stay here and wait then."
